Old songs

>> Wednesday, October 8

I'm in a mood for old songs today, mostly songs from the 80s. I have been blasting my speakers with songs from the 80s since this morning and singing along, unmindful of those who heard me. heheh

There is this song that's been stuck in my head for days now, and maybe this was the cause of my mood for old songs.. It's called "Don't Cry Joni". What's your favorite old song? Well this is one of my all time favorites - sweet and a bit sad too.. enjoy!

Jimmy Please Say You'll Wait For Me
I'll Grow Up Some Day You'll See
Saving All My Kisses Just For You
Signed With Love Forever True

Joni Was The Girl Who Lived Next Door
I've Known Her I Guess Ten Years Or More
Joni Wrote Me A Note One Day
And This Is What She Had To Say

Jimmy Please Say You'll Wait For Me
I'll Grow Up Some Day You'll See
Saving All My Kisses Just For You
Signed With Love Forever True

Slowly I Read Her Note Once More
Then I Went Over To The House Next Door
Her Teardrops Fell Like Rain That Day
When I Told Joni What I Had To Say

Joni Joni Please Don't Cry
You'll Forget Me Bye And Bye
You're Just Fifteen I'm Twenty Two
And Joni I Just Can't Wait For You

Soon I Left Our Little Home Town
Got Me A Job And Tried To Settle Down
But These Words Kept Haunting My Memory
The Words That Joni Said To Me

Jimmy Please Say You'll Wait For Me
I'll Grow Up Some Day You'll See
Saving All My Kisses Just For You
Signed With Love Forever True

I Packed My Clothes And I Caught A Plane
I Had To See Joni I Had To Explain
How My Heart Was Filled With Her Memory
And Ask My Joni If She'll Marry Me

I Ran All The Way To The House Next Door
But Things Weren't Like They Were Before
My Teardrops Fell Like Rain That Day
When I Heard What Joni Had To Say

Jimmy Jimmy Please Don't Cry
You'll Forget Me Bye And Bye
It's Been Five Years Since You've Been Gone
Jimmy I Married Your Best Friend John

Diablo III is here!!!

>> Monday, September 8

Finally, Blizzard Entertainment just unveiled the third installation of my all time favorite game - Diablo III. I have been so addicted with Diablo II back in college. I played the game up to the wee hours of the morning. I could never take note of how much time I spent playing this game.

Anyway, Diablo III has a whole new set of characters - Witchdoctor, a whole new Barbarian (these two have been unveiled so far) - and each class has both the male and female versions. The new Diablo III has new graphics that can display characters and monsters in more realistic 3D environments. Move over WoW, D3 is here!

Oh wow! Like I''m jumping up and down with excitement here... I'll expect a lot of sleepless nights.. teeehee check out these sneak preview..

I love this game!!! :D

on a healthy diet...

>> Wednesday, August 27

Are you on a healthy diet? Honestly, I've always been wanting to have a strict healthy diet - meaning no junkfood. But I can't seem to get away from pizza and chocolates.. (who couldn't right?) I do eat veggies and stuff but my daily intake is usually the "unhealthy" food. Can you blame me? Those are the ones that are just delish!

"busy" weekend

>> Sunday, August 24

I haven't been the busy blogger/plurker/worker this weekend.. cause I have been too "busy" running around the city trying out new food (heheh).. I still have a lot of blog rounds to do and plurks too (my karma has been on a steady decline this past few days). Surprisingly I'm now finding plurk a bit dull.. hehehe if you're a plurk addict don't bite my head off ok?! I think the "fun" is just starting to wear off..

Anywho... what I did from Friday night until now (its Sunday night, in case your wondering) was hopping from one restaurant to the other (trying out anything from the menus that catches our eyes.. hehe) I might do another blog post about this (if I'm not too tired or too busy..) I've been running around the city this weekend (with E.M.A. of course.. ehheh) and haven't been online since Friday I think. I just went online tonight to check on a few things...

Let me just post this new conversation at dNeero... and I'll bid you all a good night.. :)

Phelps is a Tiger

>> Friday, August 22

I am not really into sports or anything of that sort (I didn't even watch the Olympic games), but dang!, Michael Phelps is just an incredible athlete. He's a 14-time Olympic gold medalist and he holds around 7 world records in swimming. Now that's a great athlete! To think he was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) when he was still young, and only started swimming just to provide an outlet for his energy.

HDH Week 26: Lawyers

>> Wednesday, August 20

More jokes?! Click here! Yes here!

Consultation fees

A lawyer's dog, running around town unleashed, heads for a butcher shop and steals a roast. The butcher goes to the lawyer's office and asks, "if a dog running unleashed steals a piece of meat from my store, do I have a right to demand payment for the meat from the dog's owner?" The lawyer answers, "Absolutely."

"Then you owe me $8.50. Your dog was loose and stole a roast from me today."

The lawyer, without a word, writes the butcher a check for $8.50. The butcher, having a feeling of satisfaction, leaves.

Three days later, the butcher finds a bill from the lawyer: $100 due for a consultation.

Do you buy or pay for...??

>> Sunday, August 17

Have you ever purchased anything online? I contemplated in buying this cute pair of sandals at eBay before. I have small feet (around size 5 or 6) and buying a good pair without trying it on might be a little risky for me. But what the heck after thinking on it over and over I decided to just do it. I bid on the item, hoping I would get it while hoping against it at the same time. Sounds weird right? Unfortunately for me, or was it fortunately, somebody outbid me. So I figured that wasn't for me. Or maybe that wouldn't fit.. who knows...??

It's kinda hard for me to trust someone I barely know. What if the seller is just fooling around and won't ship me the item, right? I keep thinking of all those what ifs and finally decided buying online is definitely a no-no for me. I'm the type of person that really has to examine the product thoroughly before purchasing it. Call me OCD or whatever but that's just me..

So how about you? Have you tried purchasing online?

What's up in August?

>> Monday, August 11

Well August here is pretty busy, with the upcoming Founder's Day celeb, people are kinda running around with the preparations. I'm kinda one those people though. Just because I'm mostly at home doesn't mean I' m not busy right? :) I'm stuck at home doing my usual work, plus doing some errands for my parents - they are so busy with their projects and the opening of SUAM (that's Silliman University Anthropology Museum, just so you'll know), exhibits and stuff, and a "good" daughter that I am still manages to offer a helping hand - despite all these work my boss just seem too eager to unload into my hands. hmph.. but I'm happy.. a bit crazy now, but still happee happee... somehow I can still insert a few minutes of blogging and plurking.. heheheh (that takes my mind off the truckloads of work that still needs to be done)..

So what's up with you this August??

Celiac disease

Here's something I learned from dNeero - celiac disease. According to my trusty friend Wiki, "is an autoimmune disorder of small intestine the that occurs in genetically predisposed people of all ages from middle infancy." Somehow it can interfere the absorption of nutrients from the food we eat. People who have this disease cannot tolerate gluten. When people with this disease take in food containing gluten their immune system responds by damaging the small intestine.

Just thinking of diseases makes me sad and weak. Hmph... enough of this...

Right or Left Brained?

>> Monday, July 14

Just for fun (a short break from work..hehe), I took this test at Blogthings to find out whether I am right or left brained. I'm not really sure if this is accurate but here are the results.

You Are 70% Left Brained, 30% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.

Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.

If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.

Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.

Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.

If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.

Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Well, I could say some of the results are true. I'm not sure if I am good at persuading others though, maybe or maybe not... How about you? Are you right or left brained?

Laugh about marriage here

Marriage is not a word. It is a sentence--a life sentence.

Marriage is very much like a violin; after the sweet music is over, the strings are attached.

Marriage is love. Love is blind. Therefore, marriage is an institution for the blind.

Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her Masters.

Marriage is a thing which puts a ring on a woman's finger and two under the man's eyes.

Marriage certificate is just another word for a work permit.

Marriage is not just a having a wife, but also worries inherited forever.

Marriage requires a man to prepare 4 types of "rings":
* The Engagement Ring
* The Wedding Ring
* The Suffe-Ring
* The Endu-Ring

a perfect illustration of marriage...
