Eldest - Book 2 Inheritance Cycle

After reading Christopher Paolini's Eragon (book 1 of the Inheritance cycle), I'm hooked with the story. Don't be discouraged by the movie version of Eragon (it didn't give the book much justice), I'm telling you the book is really good. To think the author is just a year older than I am and he's already selling bestsellers?! Hats off to him..

So now I just got my hands on a copy of book 2 - Eldest. I know I still have much other reading to do but I just couldn't wait to finish this trilogy.

For the love of books

I'm so happy today.. I just received the books I purchased from eBay. This is a first online purchase for me.. teehee... I never thought I would ever find the guts to buy things online (much more eBay?), but I did. Yay for me! I just purchased two - one by Barbara Michaels and one by Jude Deveraux.



Since I spend most of my time at home working, I never got enough time to visit bookstores and search for a good read. The last book I purchased was around April or May I think. And that's a new one for me since a bookworm that I am always had the time to look for a good book (well that was before). Because I spend hours and hours online why not search for a good read on the net right? I really don't like reading ebooks, mind you, I prefer curling up in my bed and read. I know I know this will just strain my eyes or something. But who cares!? I only read ebooks when I just couldn't find a copy or couldn't afford one at the moment..hehehe I'm actually reading an ebook this past few days - Eragon by Christopher Paolini - as recommended by my good friend Z. The book is way better than the movie, as usual, and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequels - Eldest and Brisingr.

Anywho, I'm quite pleased with my binge buying this week. I actually bought two books from the National Bookstore last Tuesday. They were on sale, and I just cant help it?! Lurchie prodded me to buy them that's why, and I find the plots interesting. I'm a sucker for suspense and thrillers and I just couldn't say no to these two.

Diablo III is here!!!

Finally, Blizzard Entertainment just unveiled the third installation of my all time favorite game - Diablo III. I have been so addicted with Diablo II back in college. I played the game up to the wee hours of the morning. I could never take note of how much time I spent playing this game.

Anyway, Diablo III has a whole new set of characters - Witchdoctor, a whole new Barbarian (these two have been unveiled so far) - and each class has both the male and female versions. The new Diablo III has new graphics that can display characters and monsters in more realistic 3D environments. Move over WoW, D3 is here!

Oh wow! Like I''m jumping up and down with excitement here... I'll expect a lot of sleepless nights.. teeehee check out these sneak preview..

MAYway

Hmmm.. my title sounds like "My way", that song by Frank Sinatra. Anyway, (hey that rhymes too!) I decided to do this meme from Zr. It's about birthdays and stuff.. Well I already celebrated my birthday two months ago, spent it with family and friends. Sadly E.M.A. wasn't there on my birthday 'cause he had to work... sniff sniff...

SO! Here are the instructions for this tag...

INSTRUCTIONS:

Well my birthday falls on the 15th of May so I get to wish for 6 materials gifts! hmmm... let me think.. my list will be on no particular order whatsoever.. :)

1. My own house! Yeah! Whoever wished for something else right? I don't know the exact details of my dream house. I don't really want a huge house just a medium size house, with a big lawn. :) Maybe a bit like this one...

2. My own car! I don't know how to drive, though. But I want my own car!!! :)


3. Sony Ericsson C905.. 8MP! :) Need I explain more?


4. I want a Beagle, a Golden Retriever, and a Rottweiler! (I don't think those are materials things but I want those!!!)


5. A home theater in my own house.. Kinda like this one! hehehe (hey I can dream can I?!) hmmm maybe its hard to fit home theaters like this one on my own dream house (shown above)...


6. My dream vacation at Jade Mountain, St. Lucia!!!! ehemm...great for a romantic getaway (*wink*)

Ice crusher

I always wanted to have an ice crusher. I was about to buy one that was not so expensive, but a friend of mine told me not to. She bought one, herself, and she was not satisfied with the results. She only got small lumps of ice, not crushed ice! So I decided not to buy that so-called ice crusher, until I ultimate forgot the need (maybe want) to buy one for myself.

The reason why I'm suddenly interested again is that I found this recipe at the back of the can of some evaporated milk. It's called Rocky Road Cooler. As usual the chocolate addict inside me just wants to come out.

Now I'm on the search again for a perfect ice crusher (like the one in the picture), that really crushes ice! :)
