Describe My Day

Here's another overdue meme from Zr. hehe I was planning to do some extra work today, but I'm now in a very sour mood, so I decided to do some blog hoppin' and some plurkin' today.. :) to lighten up my mood..

Yesterday
1. I was doing my usual work from 9:30am to 6:00pm. My schedule is flexible as long as I work 8 hours.. :) So, I was busy working my butt off and trying to organize things..

2. I was a bit feverish. I've been feeling that way for a couple of days now. There must be a bug flying around and I caught it PLUS my sinusitis just made it worse.. Aaarrgghhh kill me now!!!

3. I was contemplating on what to do this weekend. I still have no plans yet. Somebody's not coming home, so I'm free to do whatever I want this weekend.

Today:

4. We'll my day isn't over yet... but I woke up happy and this morning.. I'm usually grumpy at mornings, but today, I was happy.

5. Now, I'm in a sour mood. In just a couple of hours I turned from light and bubbly into dark and gloomy.. all because of this stupid argument with ehem.. you-know-who... and now I'm actually drying my tears...

6. I'm planning to go buy some new clothes this afternoon, maybe this will perk me up.. hopefully...

1. I resigned from my 2-year job as a copyeditor months ago. And I have no regrets whatsoever on that decision. hehe

2. I'm working now though... something I should have done right after I resigned from my previous job. I don't have to go outside our home though to get to work... This maybe is the biggest advantage I ever have. :)

3. I know how to cook! :) Most of my friends probably don't know that. I learned how to cook about a year ago.. and well I'm proud to say I'm getting better and better each day.. heheh

4. I sometimes write poetry... Just for fun! And I think its my way of expressing my thoughts and feelings and all that stuff...

5. I'm beginning to love blogging.. I had my apprehensions before, thinking I'll just grow tired of this.. but honestly.. I'm not! :)

6. I like to play online games, PC games, whatever games I can get my hands on. I even broked my phone's joystick just because of playing... heheh started playing these games when I was about 8 years old. I played my first online game back in high school.

7. I'm engaged! hehehehe ehemm... not! :D I know some of my friends are dying for me to get hitched.. maybe I am.. maybe I'm not... ;)

Hmmm.. my title sounds like "My way", that song by Frank Sinatra. Anyway, (hey that rhymes too!) I decided to do this meme from Zr. It's about birthdays and stuff.. Well I already celebrated my birthday two months ago, spent it with family and friends. Sadly E.M.A. wasn't there on my birthday 'cause he had to work... sniff sniff...

SO! Here are the instructions for this tag...

The Best Gift Ever

Zerisse tagged me on this one days ago and I wasn't able to post it right away (hehe sorry Z!). I was very busy this week. I just started doing this "something really important" thing and eventhough I basically am right in front of my PC about 8 hours everyday, I still couldn't find some extra minutes to do my tags (well I posted a few, though dba? hehe). Well anyway, here goes...

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college.
For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study.
His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.
He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said,
"With all your money you give me a Bible?"
And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him.
He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son.
He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago.
With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.
His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired.
On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...
PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

Lesson learned: Blessings come in mysterious ways. It might not be in the right "package" as what the story says, it might not be what we really wanted on the first place, but definitely it is what God wants for us. We should be very happy with what we have right now, those are the "little" gifts, the blessings that came from someone above who loves us.

P.U.S.H.

Every year about 30 typhoons come to the Philippines, and they leave behind damages, losses, and deaths. It has been a week since the tragic accident brought by the typhoon Frank. I'm sure you've heard of the tragedy of MV Princess of the Stars. This prayer goes out to the survivors, the grieving families and friends, as well as the other Filipinos around the Philippines who are mourning for their losses.

Prayer for the MV Princess of the Stars fatalities and survivors.

Dear God, we pray that you comfort each bereaved family everyday as they grieved for their loss, we pray that you will supply all their needs, we pray for the survivors that they may have a good life after the tragedy, that you will bless them and let them know in the deepest part of their heart that in spite of what have happened, you LOVE and CARE for them. This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Please, let us encourage everyone to keep the prayer going.

what is love?

If someone asks you what is your definition of love, what would it be? Well I, for one, don't have a definition of love. Can it really be defined? Described, yes, but defined? I don't know. Back in high school, I wrote poems about love - and of course, heartaches. But that kind of love is just one thing. There are so different types(?), stages(?), or forms of love. Be it love for family, friends, and especially love for God. Some also mentioned love for enemies. Honestly, could you really love your enemies? :) How could you love someone you deeply hate? I could go on and on about love, but.. all I can say is this, "Love is complicated".
