Scrappin Mondaze

My entry for this weeks Scrappin Mandaze is centered on my mother. It's her birthday this coming Saturday (April 11) and I wanted to make a LO for her. Since her birthday is just a day before Easter Sunday, I decided to use Easter as my theme.

My mom and I are very close. We shop together and do a lot of things together. I know I can never repay her for everything that she have done for me but I hope she knows and feels how much I love everything about her.

To my Mama:
Thank you so much for being so patient with me. I can never be who and where I am right now without your unconditional love and support.

Scrappin Mondaze

This is my entry for this week's Scrappin Mandaze. I haven't posted scraps for about two weeks (sorry Z!). Things have just been so busy. Heck I didn't have time for myself for the last several weeks (and I even sometimes forget to text EMA... teehee).

Well anyway, this week's subject is my long time friendship with another blogger (Lurchie). We have been friends since I can remember. The photo in this LO was taken during our Early Childhood School (preschool) graduation. And as you can see, we even have similar dresses! teehee..

Oh well, here's to a history of friendship and many more years of shared laughters and tears.

Scrappin Mondaze

That time of the week again when I'm forced reminded by Z to make a LO for Scrappin Mandaze. Good friend that I am, I happily try my best to make a presentable scrap. :)

Anywho, this week my subject would be my BIG brother, Abe. He saw me the other week making a scrap for my niece, Nica. He wanted me to make one for him too (gah! not another dictator in my life! teehee..). He's into outdoor stuff, and every 3 months or so he and his friends go around Negros and go canoeing, hiking or something like that. Their next trip would be next month in Bohol. I wonder how that will turn out (just as long as I get my pasalubong!).

Anyway, I wanted to make a LO that is not too "girly". But I'm in a hurry and this is the best I can do.. teehee

Scrappin Mondaze

My entry for this week’s Scrappin Mandaze is about my dog Odie. She just gave birth two four beautiful puppies last Saturday. I was up all night just to see through Odie’s delivery. Thankfully, there were no complications. I was both excited and scared since this was Odie’s first pregnancy (and hopefully the last). She wasn’t supposed to get pregnant. I even had her take birth control pills (woot!) . Well anyway, I guess she was meant to have these puppies..

So, this is my entry for this week. Enjoy!

Scrappin Mondaze

Week 3 of Scrappin Mandaze and I was early in creating this layout. I made this last night out of sheer boredom and Z was already “reminding” me yesterday to make my LO for this week. Gah! Do I really have a choice? Teehee…

This week I wanted to make a LO for my niece Nica Cassiopeia. She’s my cousin’s 10-year-old daughter. She’s a bit big for her age. Well that’s an understatement since she weighs around 130 lbs! But I love this kid. I still can’t believe she’s all grown up now. I can still remember babysitting for her several years back when her mom is away on a trip. Oh well time flies.

Scrappin Mondaze

This is my second entry for Z's meme. Since I'm a very good friend (as if I have a choice! teehee), I'm making another scrap thingy for this week. Here's my scrappy thingy..

Photos were taken when E.M.A. and I went to Bohol. I think this was my first trip with him. *sigh* I miss taking long trips and visiting new places with E.M.A. It's been a year or so since our last vacation together. Oh well.. work now, play later I guess.. *sigh*

wishing wells and magic spells

>> Wednesday, February 11

I have a bad case of LSS (“last song syndrome”) since last night. I think I even hummed it in my dreams! :D The bad thing is I couldn’t remember the title and artist of the song. Anyway, I Googled a few lines which I remembered and to my delight I found it!

The song is titled Wishing Wells by Eraserheads. I haven’t heard this song for about a decade or more and it just came into my mind.

I'm adding the lyrics of the song so you could sing along (if you want). :)

Wishing Wells - Eraserheads

CHORUS
I wish i could go back to those fairy book tales
Forget the real world a while and seek the seas of the talking whales
A place called wishing wells and magic spells (2x)
Where everything starts out a once upon an time, long long ago
and lives happily ever after.....aha ha...yeah yeah!

I could go up hill and run with Jill
The Giant could smell I'm no English man
Cinderella danced with me at the ball
I told the Queen of Hearts about my plan
I traveled the wonderland with Alice
I met with Snow White in the woods
I flew with Peter Pan in Neverneverland
Picked some berries with Ms. Red Riding Hood

Repeat Chorus

I could be an outlaw in the west
Save damsels in distress
You could sleep a thousand years
I will wake you up with a kiss
We'll swim the seven seas
We can make love more than twice
Fly like dragons in the skies
We could hang around on trees
Buzz around like bees
We can make some honey, We don't need no money baby
Just turn your back, You'll see jumpin' jellybean sack
Just wait for me Jack I'll be back, I'll be back

Repeat Chorus

A place called wishing wells and magic spells (3x)
Where everything starts out a once upon an time, long long ago
and lives happily ever after.....aha ha...yeah yeah!

Incidentally I also took a photo of a "wishing well" when we went up to the mountains of Mabinay. :)

Scrappin Mondaze

I'm not really an "artsy" person, but sometimes when I got nothing to do I sometimes "try" (emphasis on the try) to be one. Oh well, because Valentines Day is just a few days away, I decided to go along with the theme.

I don't know anything about Photoshop and the like so I just made this from an online scrapping tool - Scrapblog. So.. what do you think? Did I pass? :)

another rainy day...

>> Friday, June 20

It's been raining all day today, probably because of the typhoon Frank. Thankfully there are no strong winds in our area, only lots and lots of rain. You see I live inside a campus where there are so many acacia trees. If you walk around when there's a really strong wind (plus rain), there's a big chance a twig or a branch will fall on you. Now who would walk around when there's a typhoon?! Anyway, I love the rain, but strong (typhoonic?) winds just makes me nervous.

Anyway, well I found something worthy of my time, plus I can generate some extra income too! So that's my big secret why I have been so busy these days. Well it's not exactly a secret since most of my friends already know. Oh well just wanted to let you guys know in case your wondering... or not. :)

Now what was I saying..? Oh yeah.. it has been raining all day, and I'd like to share to you what my dog, Odie, has been doing...

She curled up in a corner and I tried to give her a mat and a blanket cause I'm sure she's cold or something, but she just wouldn't budge. Same with my other dog, Toki (but I couldn't take a shot of him curled up, cause he's under our Jeep). What hard headed doggies I have.. They just don't want to be disturb... hehehe

This is what greets me every morning at our house in the mountains of Mabinay. Cool huh? :) Taking photos of just about anything is a slight hobby of mine. I’m not sure if it’s really that good, still I’d like to share some of them. I’m still contemplating on starting a new photo blog, but for now let me post these photos here. Okies? :)

A day in the life of Odie

>> Friday, May 23

I noticed my dog, Odie, running around the lawn and barking playfully. My PC is right beside the window, so I looked out if my two doggies are playing. Surprisingly it was only Odie who was running around as if she was playing with something. I just kept on observing her until I noticed that while running, she kept on looking upwards and barking. Then I realized she was playing with this little bird that swoops down on her from time to time. I tried to take a video of them playing but all I got was a hazy picture.

Now, Odie is a bit well-rounded. :) After all these running around and playing, she plops down from exhaustion anywhere she chooses and just lies around or sleeps. Now this part I took a shot… :)

...after a long hard day’s work play..
